Jade

I have had several questions regarding the "cute red head" in our family picture. "Who is he?", "I thought you only had one boy?" Well, here is the story.....

That is Jade. He is the son of Rob Zazzara and Summer Winger. His second mommy and daddy is us. I have watched him since he was a few weeks old and needless to say, at 5 yrs old, he is a part of our family. Since Sam and Jade are only children, they treat each other like brothers, except the fighting. I have no idea why but they have never fought. Ever.

He may not be my blood but we adore and love him as if he was our own. For some unknown reason, instead of God giving Blaine & I more children, He has blessed this family with Jade. I am so thankful that we have had the opportunity to have Jade in our lives. My parents and grandparents are called his grandparents and my brother, his uncle. He started that when he was just starting to talk and we think it is great. A child can never have enough love and my family readily gives it to him.

Summer & Rob take Sam on their outings with them and Blaine & I take Jade also on our expeditions. So both Sam & Jade have the opportunity to spend time together with both sets of parents. It's great for all of us.

So there's the story. It may be strange but that's just another day and the life of the Rasmussens.
