Cheers

As you can see from my last post, Sam was sick over Christmas vacation, so I won't bore you with the horrible pictures and the temper tantrum on video. let's just say not pretty! I felt so bad for him but I think he had a pretty good Christmas anyway.

On Christmas Eve, we had an extremely pathetic dinner of frozen pizza and Ben & Jerry's ice cream, while eating on the couch (GASP!)and watching The Christmas Story. When I suggested that we eat on the couch, Sam kept looking at me like I had lost my chicken. I don't think I have ever let him eat anywhere but the table. The table, mind you, is just five feet away, with the t.v. within eye shot, so I AM NOT the world's meanest mom!

Christmas morning, everyone came for breakfast and present unwrapping. We all recieved wonderful gifts but I think my ultimate favorite was giving Mom her present. I have worked on this project for, count them, 13 YEARS! It has been the project from Hell and I was so glad to get it done. I could not get out a spot of blood and a dirt mark but it proves that blood, sweat and a lot of tears went into it.Despite Sam and Wayne telling her what she was getting, I think she was quite surprised to see it in her package.I took a picture of it but for the life
of me, I cannot find it, so you'll just have to believe me on how great it looks.

The rest of the day, we vegetated on the couch and watched movies. It was so nice to have the stress of the holiday over that I slept most of the day. It was DELIGHTFUL!

The rest of the vacation was a repeat of a repeat of Christmas Day. I think Blaine watch hours and hours of football, while Sam and I played hours and hours of Wii. All in all, a great vacation.

However, reality must come sooner than later, so this morning, I woke up at 5:00 to make a lunch and send my poor husband back to his job and Sam back to school. I think I'll sleep all day, eat bon bons and watch soap operas---Right, I wish!

Cheers to a New Year!
