Last week a feather knocked Blaine & I right on our butts. Not just gently but the full blown shove. We have the bruised butt cheeks to prove it!
I had resigned to the fact that it wasn't going to happen and short of a few pity party days, I was great with it. No more diapers, all nighters and bottles. We were officially a fly by the seat of our pants family(Well, as much as I could fly by the seat of my pants!).
I hadn't been feeling very good and I finally made the decision to get my hysterectomy that I had been needing. I made the appointment to get scheduled and after talking to the doctor, he suggested an ultrasound to figure out the problem before he got started. Come to find out, I was feeling crappy because I was pregnant. AAAHHHH!
The emotions were and still are very confusing. One moment, I am excited and the next I am filled with----well, I don't know what you would call it. I am so very, very grateful but I am not prepared to start over again. I am scared. Like first time mommy scared!
When I blubbered to Blaine the news, he got this stupid little smirk that at the moment made me furious. How could he smile? Where is heaven's name are we going to put the baby? Does he realize that we will be 50 when they graduate? It's all his fault! Okay, not really, it was my problem that miraculously fixed itself but at the moment it sounded good. Bless his heart, he stood there the whole time and let me vent, then cry, then giggle.
As for the "happy" dance, just find Blaine or Sam and they will be more than happy to do it for you. I truly think they channel Steve Carrell in Evan Almighty!
