We'll be missing you

It's that time of year again when Grandma leaves for Overton. Sam and I's world evolves around her when she is here for the summer and it's not the same until she comes back in the spring.

From the after school treats for Sam to the cup of tea for me, we enjoy spending time with her everyday. I will miss the cup of tea and visits during the day and Sam will definitely miss the homemade bread and oreos after school. She was the highlight of our days and already we are counting down the days until the end of May.

For nine years now, I have been watching Grandma leave and it still doesn't get easier. I still cry as I watch her and Ava drive down the rode and I still cry after I talk to her on the phone. I am hopelessly attached.
